The Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 G AF-S IF ED VR II is a high-power, high-performance, telephoto, AF-S hypersonic autofocus zoom lens with VR II vibration reduction. The 70-200mm focal length is ideal for mid-range and long-range subjects, including portraits. The fast f/2.8 aperture, AF-S autofocus and VR II vibration reduction makes this lens well suited to photography of active subjects in available-light such as sports, stage events and nature.

The VR II vibration reduction allows hand-held shots at shutter speeds up to four stops slower than without VR. Two VR modes are available: Normal and Active.

This lens is compatible with the Nikon TC-14E, TC-17E and TC-20E series of teleconverters. (All of version I, II and III teleconverter models.)
